Exclusive: legislation would create a program to cancel all existing patient debt and block creditors from collecting past medical bills
You know who doesn’t have medical debt?
Every other G7 country.
But think of the shareholders…
and the economy
Lolbruh never gonna happen. Not that I don’t support this. Shithole country tho.
Man, Bernie just hates America. How are the businesses that gave predatory loans to people who were desperate for medical attention going to survive after this? Think of all the jobs or something.
Bernie just hates America
I’m good with this as long as it applies to future debt as well. I don’t have medical debit because I haven’t been able to afford medical care out of pocket and I won’t take on debt. So I have been to the doctor once and the dentist not at all in the last 19 years. But hell yeah I’ll go if it’ll get paid for.
So, uh, who will actually be paying for medical care?
Most of the debt is just charges for non-existing stuff. Check out https://unduemedicaldebt.org for their work.
The group says retiring $100 in debt costs an average of $1.
