Happy 1st of May everyone :). I hope it’s ok if I post it to the /c/communism. No idea where else to put it.

Just a small picture from Copenhagen, Denmark. The International Workers’ Day, known as “Rød Første Maj” (Red 1st of May) in Denmark, is kind of a big tradition here. Loads of people show up, to listen to speeches, music and also to drink beer and have a good time with friends and family.

This picture is from the “communist” part of the celebration. The danish communist parties have their own small booths, in the white tents in the background. It’s also where the Danish-DPRK Friendship Organization and the Danish-Cuban Friendship Organization have their booths.

There’s another large section as well, which is mostly unions and different socialist, demsoc and socdem parties who’s celebrating there.

Then there’s also the AntiFascist section. That’s a mixed bag, but a large number of anarchists there. Very kind and nice people though.

Couldn’t find any aerial photos from today, but here’s one from a few years ago, just to get a scope of how big the event is: https://shx.is/5v1kSUxzN.jpeg

Definitely my favorite day of the year :)

Definitely is fun! It’s very nice to have so many similar minded people gathered at one spot.

It’s a great day, with a lot of emphasis on solidarity. So you always leave there with uplifted spirits :).

I didnt care about May Day in my country. I hate people all around me. They don’t care about labor or ML.

They are all simping for NATO and not caring about their aggression.

And yes, I’m living in a Nordic Country. The Communist party here are a joke and have 0 power and even they are fencesitting and not outright saying that Ukraine is Natos fault.
