    as a Brit in the us I’ve come to understand its all nostalgia.

    I would absolutely demolish a Wimpy for nostalgia’s sake back home, despite it being mid fast food

      That’s exactly what it is. It’s the fast food I grew up with. It’s the burger I ate after going to the beach. It’s the burger I ate when my roommate was too lazy to go out, so he’d give me money and his car keys to go get it. It’s the burger I ate in high school and college with classmates.

      Well over thirty years after all of the above, it still takes me back to those simpler times.

      I rarely go anymore because of some of their politics and the fact that they’ve more or less disregarded employee training in their Texas stores where I live now. The California employees know what the hell they’re doing to a man. The Texas employees, well, not so much.
