1996 - Ally McCoist’s goal against Switzerland at Villa Park.

First goal we’d scored at Euro 96, in our final match, and at that moment results were going our way for qualifying. England were hammering the Dutch and we just needed one more goal to nip into 2nd place on goal difference.

It never came, but it was properly exciting for a while. We battered Switzerland that day, but just couldn’t get the second.

For the 2000 final, I was in a summer camp, one of the animator was listening to the match on the radio.

He was quite excited, then disappointed (he was supporting Italy) that’s probably one of my oldest Euro memories

Obviously, being Danish, the 1992 final. But the 1992 semis against the Netherlands is a close second. That shit was INTENSE.
