I have a 2021 rebel 500 and thinking of getting a radiant cycles shorty, but according to my google search, exhaust not only muffles the noise, but also improves engine performance.
so my question is, if i change my stock exhaust to radiant cycle shorty, will it affect my engine performance? Does it hurt my engine? thanks!
Appreciate the input. I just want to fresh things up a bit by change the exhaust and how my bike sounds, was afraid the new exhaust might do the engine some harms, hence the question.
It can actually do your engine harm if not done properly. There are cases of exhaust valves clearance changing drastically because of aftermarket exhaust. If you’re not going to remap the engine then don’t get an exhaust.
