Months after Oregon State Rep. E. Werner Reschke said that atheists and Muslims shouldn’t hold public office, he’s been absolved of any wrongdoing by a State House committee.
It’s an absurd decision that rewards bigotry in the name of Jesus.

You would think so, but I would say that there is absolutely no chance Trump believes in any deity more powerful than himself and I have my doubts about Reagan’s religious piety too.
I feel like there is a semantic difference between an Atheist and a Pretender. Trump is a Pretender, Reagan was a Pretender. Most of the right wing legislators are pretenders. Both believers and pretenders are dangerous. Actual Athiests are open about their beliefs. They are usually fine.
