Oh no, so sorry about your pet. It’s terrible that you didn’t even get to say goodbye, like losing a pet doesn’t hurt enough already.

I definitely understand what you mean about how terrifying the thought of losing your memory and cognitive function is. Alzheimer’s runs in my family; my dad’s pretty much on his last legs because of it, and I can’t watch anything that has a character with Alz or something similar, it just hits way too close. Knowing that I’ll probably get it too just makes it even more painful
