    That’s not even the irritating part. The irritating part is that they didn’t fire everyone in the blast radius.

    For a drastically different story, a person from hr lost a laptop with personally identifiable information on it. They were warned. A second person from hr did the same thing, got fired. The third person that did it was fired, so were three managers above them. The behavior stopped at that point.

    See the difference? As soon as management has consequences due to their failed oversight, things change.
