If you’re even a little technically inclined the 64GB model and a 1TB SSD can be cheaper than the 512GB model.

Same and it’s fine lol. I haven’t needed one since like 2015 as long as your phone has good glass

Probably true, but having a screen protector really doesn’t bother me in any way and can potentially save my phone/steamdeck from my own clumsiness.

Ain’t nothing wrong with that either. I think k at this point u less you have a product with cheap glass it’s just up to personal preference.

I still use a screen protector on my smart watch because I do manual labor and am constantly hitting it on things like tools, nails, etc.

Fact that it makes the 512 LCD cheaper than the 256 LCD is pretty hilarious, even if it is a “these models are discontinued, clearing out the stock” sale

I’m surprised, if I recall, all but one LCD model were to be phased out in November, or at least that’s what they said when they announced the OLED version. Were the supplies that large?

I can see supplies extending longer than they thought with their refurbishing program being as popular as it is (they don’t stay in stock very long)

Could there be a sale on the OLED too within the next few days for the summer sale? I don’t have a steam deck but I’ve been waiting to see.

They’re probably clearing out leftover stock from the first model. I suspect they’re moving to just the OLED model once the LCD models are gone. So maybe, but I wouldn’t consider this a sign it’s coming.

They’re keeping the 256gb LCD for now, although that could change in the future of course.

My OLED is coming in today, so hyped. Will definitely help with the commute. First off is finishing up Disco Elysium, then maybe playing Edith Finch? Anyone have any other recs? Besides Hades 1, I guess.

What genre? Those are some peculiar games. I guess you might like Strange Horticulture.

Otherwise for a mix bag: TPS/Adventure: Horizon Zero Dawn Arcade racing: Hot Wheels Unleashed TPG: Baldur’s Gate 3 FPS: Halo Master Chief Collection

Thanks, I’ll check out strange horticulture. I’m looking for arthouse games in a sense. Outer Wilds completely changed me, for example, and I want to try to recreate that feeling, but I don’t want an Outer Wilds clone, like how Lords of the Fallen is to Dark Souls.

I want something that’s going to destroy me and make me think, or just be ultra fun and different from anything else I’ve played.

For something different you can try The Room games. Definitely not life changing but atypical.

It took me a bunch of tries, too. It’s not really a “fun” game, more like a visual and interactive novel. Once I got the hang of the dice rolls being the biggest part of the game, and knowing/remembering where to seek them out, and getting used to the map, it became easy to pick up and put back down. It’s amazing, but not easy to get going.

I like how they translated everything to Russian (even the time the sale ends is in Moscow time) even though they don’t sell it in Russia
