For reasons I have the same headset two times. The one I used just broke. This is the two headsets side by side. Used for roughly 7-8 years.

You … you haven’t changed the pads (which look porous) in 7 years?

They are really cheap & (usually) easy to replace. And you can try different configs (what surface material suits you, thickness which affects sound stage, hard/soft/memory foam, gel, etc).

I had that headset. First lasted 5 years, second about 1 year. Not a defective product, just a dog. Good headset.

What’s the brand? What’s the model?

I’ve heard from people whose opinions I respect that they are like this with Koss (use em until they break after a bunch of years, buy the same to replace the old ones).

Logitech G233 Good headset I am very happy with it. However it’s wired and I think my next pair (so in eight years I guess :D ) will be wireless

        Logitech G400ish.

I cannot recall the exact model anymore. After I lost the second pair, I was in a spot where I didn’t really need headphones anymore, so I can’t check.

Goddamn. I had a g935 that started to go after a year and a half, apparently super common for the model. Tried corsair. Good audio quality but terrible volume and dogshit range. Ended up on astro and it’s been holding up well except for the pad popping out of the plastic bit. Horrible design. Tape fixed it and I’m happy otherwise.
