It's technically a five-year deal that includes two option years in order to spread out his potential bonuses and ensure the cap hit is just under $9 million, according to Pelissero. The Packers dealt Rodgers to the Jets in late April along with a 2023 first-round (No. 15) and fifth-round pick in exchange for New York's 2023 first-rounder (No. 13), a second-round selection, and a conditional 2024 second-round pick that can become a first if Rodgers plays 65% of the team's snaps next season.Green Bay chose Iowa defensive end Lukas Van Ness with the 13th overall selection, and New York took Iowa State defensive end Will McDonald two picks later.Rodgers spent his first 18 campaigns with the Packers, taking over as the unquestioned starter in 2008, his fourth season. He led Green Bay to a championship in 2010 while earning Super Bowl MVP honors. Rodgers is a 10-time Pro Bowler who The Associated Press named its Athlete of the Year in 2011.
