Nope doesnt work, at least not on mobile, even with desktop mode enabled. If you just logged out to test it, then the site might still have remembered your browser and allowed you to view it because of that.
Edit:
Just tested on an actual desktop pc and that worked hmmm
Hrmmmm… I guess they force it on mobile. Well, I’ve updated the description with the link to the Tapas version in case that helps? We’re also on the Inkverse
Account walled sites are inherently bad because they are counter to the concept of a searchable and open internet. Also makes them very inaccessible to disabled people and kids.
Have you always needed an account for webtoons? One less usable site :(
Just tested it to see if I’m crazy :) you need one to subscribe, but technically you can read comics there without a login

Cool thanks :)
I just tested on mobile too and it seems fine. Chrome Android. Maybe it’s something they’re rolling out.
I read on my phone using Tachij2k
Man, what a shame about the purge before. But then again, many heads take its place (via many repo) so I guess it’s a win.
Works on my phone
If your comic is rated mature, or if the user is using a known VPN IP address, Webtoons will require a login.
If you use it Mihon (tachiyomi) has a webtoons extension.
There’s a subscribe button but i can read it just fine without?
We figured out its a mobile issue.
I’m on mobile. 3rd-party frames blocked, maybe because of this?
Pretty sure you always have, yes. But why does that make it unusable?

Ah, gotcha. Didn’t think of that.
