Good to see people rejecting the X and still calling it Twitter. But why stop there? Call it Facebook, not Meta. Call it Google, not Alphabet. They can’t hide behind a new coat of paint.
Who says I don’t do this already though I kind of feel like meta is a different situation because they have a bunch of social media sites so saying meta is isn’t hiding who they are

Oh thanks for reminding me! I’ve been predicting for years that Comcast created Xfinity as a brand name they could spin off as its own company, in the event the Comcast name becomes too toxic or trust busted.
I never stopped calling it Facebook, you can put on a new mask but the real identity is still the same.
What is X? Is it that dead blue bird?..
Google entered the lexicon as a verb, that one’s here to stay for awhile. Facebook will probably become Meta once he has a service actually worthy of the name. Give it 10-20 years for AR and VR to start to mature more and his early R&D investment to pay out, if it does.
Twitter should be twiX, just to piss off the candy bar company for amusement purposes.
