~27k after inflation. Wow I really hate the modern car industry.
Isn’t $27k pretty much on par with a base model new car these days?
It’s more than a base model new car! A Civic and Corolla are both under 25k for the base model (22k MSRP for the Corolla) and they’re not the most basic cars, a Mitsubishi Mirage is 17k base MSRP.
Yes, which is to say that after over 100 years of improving technology and economies of scale, the customer is still spending just as much. Any decreased costs never made it to the consumer’s pocket.
To be fair, cars these days have a lot going for them that an original model T did not, leading to what is in effect a price reduction.
Unfortunately probably the largest factor in that relative price reduction is due to worker exploitation…
A base Mitsubishi Mirage offers you more of everything compared to a Model T and is 17k, tell us again how decreased costs never made it to the consumers?
If a newly manufactured version of cars like this one were even legal to drive today on American roads they would cost a lot less than $27k, also nobody would buy them because they’re garbage compared to everything else on the market.
Wowsers at each cylinder only producing 5hp
Weve come so far in efficiency alone…
Wow, ads old day was wall of text.
Guessing who read a lot ?
I can smell the mold on this post.
