I don’t know why they think this helps them at all. If he’s dead, there will be a massive wave of sympathy which will propel Harris into office.

If he’s dead she’ll already be president, the incumbent, and Trump will have to reprint anything that says 47.

Honestly, Biden should step down for this reason alone. The whinging would be glorious!

Nowhere near as much. Not even close. Johnson only got elected because of sympathy about Kennedy. He got 61% of the popular vote. You don’t get that high a popular vote just for taking over for Kennedy for a year unless people feel really bad about the loss of Kennedy.

I don’t know, zombies don’t usually inspire much sympathy… though, if I were American, I would vote for zombie Biden.

(I’m not sure what the constitution says about the living dead holding office, but then again Reagan might have set some sort of precedent towards the end of his second term…)

Edit: It seems I may be wrong after all.

Original post: Between this and Johnson saying Biden should resign as president, it makes me think they are trying to limit Harris to one term. If Biden were to die or resign then Harris would become president for a few months but that would still count as her first term, so she wouldn’t be able to run for reelection in 2028 if she won this time. That’s my theory anyway 🤷‍♀️

They’ve created a conspiracy theory about someone dying that isn’t running for reelection…? They’re really struggling with Biden withdrawing from the race aren’t they.

Let’s say he is dying (in a more concrete way than just being in his 80s and statistically being near death) and it influenced his decision to run again. What difference does that make at this point? He already withdrew from the race…?

Not only is this crazy, it’s truly and utterly meaningless and seems like an inability to comprehend change. If this isn’t a metaphor for the ideological ossification and denial of reality at the heart of conservatism, I don’t know what is.

The bots were already set up a while ago and Elon has difficulty controlling his bots. Remember his “not woke LLM” that was saying things like trans-women are women?

It doesn’t even make sense as a conspiracy. I hope Biden lives a long, calm life in retirement. But if he did die right now it would be a huge boost to Harris who would now be running for re-election as an incumbent.

Plus, all those dorky “45/47” red hats suddenly become obsolete as Harris is sworn in as the 47th President.

Idk about those theories and I’ve only read the post title, but like, tbf would you be surprised if he did? I mean, it is going to happen sometime, likely sooner than later, he’s elderly, and didn’t I just see “biden has covid” in the news right before he dropped out? Dead I’d doubt, we’d hear the news pretty fast I’d guess, but dying (even a bit more than “aren’t we all”)? Yeah, probably kinda. We get old, we die, it’s natural.
