Marvel is paying $80 million for the Russos to direct two 'Avengers' movies and 'significantly more' for Robert Downey Jr. to tackle Doctor Doom.

Sources say Marvel is plunking down $80 million for the Russos to direct “Avengers: Doomsday” and “Avengers: Secret Wars” and “significantly more” for Downey Jr.; filming will begin in London in the second quarter of 2025.

Jeff Sneider is reporting that RDJ is getting paid $50 million per film, or $100 million for both films.

I think the Russos ruined the Avengers by making it into a meta time-travel comedy in Endgame.

But they make lots of money anyway, so…

I’m just as skeptical about RDJ as Doctor Doom.
