Meanwhile the last moneybeg…Hey it’s really me Mark Hamill!
Harris-Walz campaign wants to be smart about celebrity involvement, and is working hard to avoid the Chicago-based DNC being painted as a “Hollywood liberal elite” event.
…
the campaign feels Hillary Clinton gave celebrities too big a platform back in 2016 and it backfired on her … and they don’t want to overdo the Hollywood aspect to the point where it turns off everyday folks.
Ohhhh I was there it was sooooo condensending. First they played Bridge Over Troubled Waters (cause ya know how much they knew WE knew they fucked Bernie over) then they sent out Sarah Silverman who got booed and she chastised the Bernie wing. “TO THE BERNIE OR BUST PEOPLE YOU’RE BEING RIDICULOUS”.
Could you imagine Mark Hamill getting booed on stage? God I love how made a permanent trama burn in the DNC. If anything It was worth that.
On one hand, celebrity endorsements don’t move votes so that’s smart.
On the other hand, they don’t dissuade votes either. It’s not like there’s voters out there going “Well I really like the Dem’s policies on the economy but they got George Clooney up there looking too smarmy so imma vote Trump.” They’re still misunderstanding political branding if they’re thinking that way.
