Hey sorry but why are you reacting like that? Calling someone a cop in anarchist circles is a really heavy accusation and should only be done with actual proof. I also think we should own the fact that anarchists have different or sometimes stupid opinions. Othering people that we dont agree with does not foster an environment where people discuss openly and feel comfortable stating their views or asking questions.

Your second comment seems way better because it gives the person you are responding to and all other readers a chance to educate themselves.

I do not think it is unreasonable of the person to call this out. Liking the Unabomber’s manifesto and saying its their favorite “anarchist” text is a huge red flag. The person being a fed or fash is entirely a realistic concern. Fascists use this strategy all the time. They try to normalize reactionary and far right texts by coming into circles and trying to relate the texts to people and cover their asses by play “separate the art from the artist card.” Like what the person is doing by saying they don’t like Ted but like his work. That is fascist tactics 101. Feds do similar stuff but in an effort to cause division and conflict. I think its less likely the commentor is a fed, and more likely they are a fash.
