Discord is lowering the upload limit for free users from 25MB to 10MB, citing operational and financial reasons.

Well if you didn’t charge so much fucking money for Nitro maybe people would actually buy it. $10 a month is a little silly when you barely get anything new from it besides features that I can only describe as “bragging rights.” The only benefit I ever received from Nitro was the increased upload limit. Which is nice, but not nice enough for me to keep paying.

I’m not big on either chat perks or games library as a subscription but when they had the games I could justify the cost because I basically got 2 services

Anyways I like Vencord which has a very basic fake nitro (for example sends custom emojis as a sticker but not as a reaction to a message so it’s pretty limited) but it also has SO MANY QoL and customization plugins

Edit: also services like proton drive and google drive exist some people forget that (myself included hence the edit)

Let me rephrase: “Offering free storage is expensive because you’re more likely not to pay us for nitro.”

Make it zero…I really dgaf about anything you offer.

This is ventrilo…that’s it. Voice chat while I play games. Easy to replace your program. I would never give discord money for anything, literally no point.
