Brush: Semogue Owner’s Club (cherry wood and boar) (45)
Razor: Böker King Cutter (5/8", hollow ground, carbon steel)
Lather: Stirling Soap Co – Haverford
Post Shave: Declaration Grooming – Massacre of the Innocents
Fragrance: Tom Ford –Tobacco Vanille
I bought this pretty little Royal Cutter on a local auction side on u/VisceralWatch’s behalf. He had been looking for a 1) Böker 2) round point and this practically new razor fit the bill and came with the right price tag. The edge on this is factory, and the previous (and only) owner has used it fewer than 5 times.
I love the build quality of Böker razors. The few I have seen have the best jimping around, the stamps are perfectly even, and even these more affordable base models are simply stunning to look at and feel really well made.
The edge is a bit rough for my taste. Nothing bad. I just have the feeling this blade could tug less ATG. Still, a nice test shave, and I think Mr Watch will enjoy this razor.
