Adding paid mods 10 years after release is wild.
Don’t they make enough from the 3 billion dlcs the game gets?
3 billion dlcs and not one option to woohoo (graphically) a clown. Hire fans.
Those mods are on loverslab
is there ever ‘enough’ in a capitalist system?
I skimmed another article that there won’t be a Sims 5, instead they’re planning on morphing Sims 4 into some kind of forever game.
they are going to get destroyed by that new korean life sim coming out soon. the one where everyone is photo realistic and the interior design looks super fun and intuitive.
there was an indie sim being worked on years ago i have no idea what it was called. hopefully they’ll be some competition soon the genre needs it

Paralives?
Edit:

It’s InZoi? I don’t think that they have the same audience, this game looks more like the GTA V RP.
yeah it was Paralives
wait so in InZoi you just contol one character? what i’ve seen of it suggested it was a life sim with driving and stuff i do know it looks like it needs beefy hardware so not your standard casual cheap laptop thing like Sims 4
For what I understand you can control multiple characters like The sims but you can also control only one and drive like GTA, looks like a mix of thing.

Paralives, I think? Haven’t been following its development tbh!
Edit: someone else figured out the title first lol
GTA Online moment. They should have done that with Sims 3, I miss the free roam stuff. I think even EA games knows Sims 3 is basically unplayable without mods and cheats lol.
Wow, free mods!
Sims 4 costs money?
because it worked out so well for Bethesda with Skyrim and Fallout 4
… it did, though. The paid mod shops are clearly sticking around. They’re making even more money off 13 and 9 year old games. The only thing this article sources to say that it’s not going well is an another article from the same outlet regurgitating reddit posts from mod authors saying they won’t make paid mods. That’s nice, I guess, but plenty more will.
