    This is strictly incorrect. For most people, yes, you should donate directly, but many types of people cannot be donated to directly (people without bank accounts, people that have no citizenship, people in ‘rogue states’, people in places currently in revolution or civil war, people in bad/controlling family situations). I’ve met so many trans people that fall into these maligned categories of people that cannot get assistance. In the past, I’ve simply had to just tell them to kick rocks, there’s no one to help them with the various things that trans people need help with. And this group (which I hold in very high regard and will defend to death) is hoping to help those people.
