I find the NYT games only seem to be US-centric answers. So, it’s a US based law about getting something that is already broken, but it’s not disclosed before purchase. Generally used around cars.
Can’t use the Reddit spoiler syntax on Lemmy. It has to be done with this syntax:

Whoops! Thanks for the spoiler tip. I’m using the Sync for Lemmy app and used the built-in spoiler tool, which apparently hasn’t been updated from the Reddit version.
