Yes, the same establishment democrats that fucked up this campaign. They literally can’t admit that factors like economic policy or Gaza were huge causes, because their employers won’t allow them, so they have to find another scapegoat.

they took a page out of the Republican handbook.

Yeah. The Republicans ran a ton of anti-trans hysteria ads at all levels, including Trump. The Democrats didn’t significantly address the issue, so the belief is everyone just believed the nonsense from the anti-trans ads.

I am skeptical of this theory until there’s good data to back it up (not holding my breath). I doubt it convinced anyone who wasn’t already transphobic; it may have helped turning out transphobes.

There have been Democrat “strategists” that say the campaign was “too woke” which includes trans people.

Though I can’t remember when Kamala actually talked about trans people in her rallies.

How can someone believe that without first believing that being transgender is extremely wrong and edgy, whatever that entails. That’s why you hear so much ignorant transphobic shit from Democrats like “catering to the far left” and “biological boys should not compete with girls at school”.

News week ran multiple articles blaming Harris’s campaign for being too woke, and I’ve seen countless takes on Lemmy trying to argue that the electorate move to the right, pretending that democrats didn’t just move to the right.
