This is what happens when you think the state and the wealthy are distinct. But it’s one big capitalist system. The wealthy run the state, and they own the media, and they fund the “non-profit” think tanks & media.
They absolutely are.
The rich influence almost all politics, but the state and ultra wealthy have to follow totally different rules to achieve their goals. Sometimes the ultra rich are politicians, then it’s complicated.
