I think this is John Williams’ most underrated soundtrack, probably because the movie flopped.
He’s not my favorite film composer (that would be a tie between Ennio Morriconne and James Horner), but you can’t deny John Williams has found ways to elevate a movie theme to such an iconic status that we can sometimes literally identify them from a couple of notes. Like the Jaws theme. Pretty damn amazing.
