A skinhead with red shoelaces is often associated with being a RASH (Red and Anarchist Skinheads) member or sympathizer. RASH is a subculture within the skinhead movement that emerged in the 1990s, primarily in the United States and Europe.
RASH skinheads are characterized by their anti-racist and anti-fascist views, as well as their anarchist or left-wing politics. They often wear red shoelaces as a symbol of their affiliation and to distinguish themselves from other skinhead groups, particularly those with racist or neo-Nazi ideologies.
Thanks for posting the background. I’m just so tired that facts don’t matter these days, I don’t even proof my point anymore.
In the 80s/90s, hardcore Street-Nazis wore “Springerstiefel”, the german standard army boots. But you know who also loved these kinds of shoes, because they match perfectly with Nazi ass? Punks. I mean 80s Punks. Not 21century Punks…And they sported the red shoelaces, because Nazsi were actually wearing white shoelaces. It mixes with the whole football/hooligan subculture, but it gets a bit fuzzy from there.
