Really don’t understand why this hasn’t been the case for a million years already. As far as I can tell, dieticians are practically begging people to eat their veggies. Obviously, there’s going to be some benefits that non-protein-heavy veggies will still have over plant protein, but surely, it’s still a solid way to get at least some of the vitamins and fibers that you should be getting from veggies.
And I do have to say, it’s more difficult to sell me on a salad, which hardly fills you at all, than on a lentil curry or similar…
The main power of the guidelines is to guide some policies, public and private (think of school lunches). If you want to expand your depression, read about adherence to these guidelines.
