I was hoping that we could hold media to a higher standard in a federated video service by demanding better crediting of sources. Yes, this is an interesting video, but it’s also straight up ganking other people’s work and scrubbing the source. I think we’d be better served to try to discourage this kind of stuff.
Loops is still under heavy development so there’s a lot of missing UX, so I’d give it a pass for now. I would also like to see a system for marking whether something is original content and if not, where it came from. Hopefully that will happen quickly once it’s open sourced.
