Michigan does have the Porcupine and Huron mountain ranges, but they’re some of the oldest mountains in the world (the youngest estimate I’ve seen is 1.1 billion years old, and they run as high as 2b+) and consequently they really don’t look anything like that. They’re covered with old-growth forest and they get a shitload of snow every winter.
Are you sure this is Michigan? I guess I haven’t been to the UP but finding out MI has mountains like those is news to me!
