Just because I want to do something, doesn’t mean I will do that thing. I’m willing to sit here and continue editing this post with examples to further illustrate my point, but I have to go to work soon. Edit: Oof. Now I remember why I refrained from starting a lemmy account for so long. Appreciate the refresher.

Not at all. Willing means that I want to do something. Unwilling means that I don’t want to do something.
Just because I want to do something, doesn’t mean I will do that thing.
