I wholly agree, the IP question is essentially a turf war between two sets of parasitical rent-seeking oligarchs. Whoever wins, we the working class lose.
All the dangers of LLM’s we are being warned about are kind of bullshit. They are not going to turn into Skynet. They are not going to be turned into a Wunderwaffe by China. And who gives a fuck whether the tech ghouls or the IP ghouls get the big payday in the end? I am beginning to think all this pearl clutching is masking the real danger of LLM’s, how they are being used to replace human labour with enshittified automata.
