The incoming vice-president’s remarks on Fox News Sunday with host Shannon Bream slightly deviated from a prior promise by Trump to consider pardoning even those who acknowledged assaulting police officers, saying “a very corrupt system” left them with “no choice”.
“If you committed violence on that day, obviously you should not be pardoned,” Vance said to Bream.
Yet, later off air, Vance assured that pardons remained on the table for at least some convicted in the 6 January 2021 attack, saying the second Trump administration cared about “people who got a garbage trial” and were “unjustly locked up”.
Vance: “And obviously if you committed violence…” glances at Trump to gauge his reaction “you should…not? be pardoned?”

Talking out of both sides of his mouth.
Both Trump and Vance are incapable of telling the truth in any way, shape or form.
Storming the Capitol is a violent attack on the constitution, the state and the government. If they would have stayed outside it would have been a protest. Whether you damaged or hurt anything or anyone or not, storming and entering is a violent act by itself.
When you break into someone’s house without stealing anything or hurting anyone, it’s still considered a criminal act.
But there’s nothing wrong with changing the law and justiciary system to your needs, every time that happened in history that never ended in a dictatorship or anything… Right? Oh. Well, maybe it was a coincidence, but now it won’t. Right? Oh… Never mind than.
Well, if you put it like that… Yeah. But if you think about it as the first step in overthrowing a corrupt government and instituting a thousand years reign of our party…
Who knows, we’ve had awful presidents before, or maybe were witnessing the end of an era.
I’m betting Vance’s definition of ‘violence’ is a unique one.
They’re just throwing them under the prison bus. They were useful idiots who’s usefulness is over.
He doesn’t need to redefine violence. His follow up comments show that they will just claim that any violent Jan 6th criminal they pardon didn’t really do any violence, and was convicted for a crime they didn’t commit and any video evidence to the contrary is just fake new.
