Cycling around it was one of my favorite experiences on my latest Japan trip. Quite a lot of ash in the air as it’s still an active volcano. There’s a shrine you can visit that was almost fully buried in one of the latest eruptions. It’s also not overrun with tourists yet, unlike many other places in Japan.
