    Well to be fair, and I do not personally believe this is the right thing, no one said democracy needed to be inclusive. In fact for most of history democracy has been the opposite. So it checks out.

      Is there a form of government that is inclusive? Seems to me that the practice of working to ensure that underserved demographics are represented runs counter to the thinking of the average power hungry dickhead who gravitates toward politics

      The whole point is for it to be inclusive. Yes it has never fully lived up to that potential but the people fighting and clawing for the last few hundred years have brought it closer and closer with time.
