Summary
New York has ordered a temporary closure of live-poultry markets from Feb. 7 to Feb. 14 after bird flu was detected in Queens, the Bronx, and Brooklyn.
The order mandates disinfection and inventory sell-down, with infected markets reporting to state officials. The Wildlife Conservation Society confirmed bird flu-related deaths at the Queens and Bronx zoos.
Rising bird flu cases nationwide have contributed to egg shortages and price spikes.
Meanwhile, a new strain was detected in Nevada dairy cows, though pasteurization ensures milk safety.
Here we go again. Get your N95 masks and bidet now while there’s no surge pricing and limited supplies.
A lot of places will probably try to make wearing them illegal.
Best i can do is a hissy fit and a freedom convoy
I’m buying a bidet this month. Going to civilized countries that use them made me too jealous. Unfortunately they’re not cheap for the fancy ones I want 😭
I’ve got plenty of masks. No bidet but I can reach the handheld shower head tubing from the toilet and get it over to toilet. (No TP at 3am and already having done some nasty #2 helped me think creatively and very desperately.)
