The main attraction of fascism is that it helps assholes to feel good about themselves.

I read the article, because I’ve been trying to do better about not skimming headlines, and it’s money.
An interesting thing they said, though, has me a little frustrated, because they left out vital context.
Time magazine, co-owned by Benioff and his wife, crowned Trump Person of the Year for 2024.
Hitler was Person of the Year, too. It’s not about popularity, it’s about global effect and influence, and it’s no secret that most of the world has decided they want in on his brand of corporate-led fascism.
So is person of the year going to be Musk this year? Or are they going to go with some pandering and give it to “all former federal workers”?
My money is on some form of the latter.
Person of the Year is Musk, and the cover is him sitting behind the Resolute Desk in the Oval Office.

Because capitalism and fascism are different aspects of the exact same system.
Well, no, they are kinda independent of each other, it’s just that both are hierarchical social structures so fascists have a really easy way of using capitalism to get power and capitalists don’t care about much else but hoarding wealth and fascists need the wealth to control the country, so it’s a nice symbiotic relationship.
Though you could argue that unfettered capitalism always leads to fascism, which is not wrong.
Because their owners are becoming the new and improved oil barons and want to be included in their cool boys club ?
