I think the folks at the Times overestimate how familiar the general public is with musicals. In theory I should’ve gotten the compound words category, but I was looking in general and the t-b- words didn’t jump out (I was trying to remember if The Phantom Tollbooth ever became a musical).
I wasn’t sure about Tollbooth either, and that just dropped down to the To- category which only became apparent for me as my last group by process of elimination.
Looks like some people had trouble fitting Midnight too.
