Thank you! The clay itself is speckled, not the glaze. I’m not in love with that glaze combo. The whole cup is dipped in an iridescent glaze which is more matte than I understood it to be and the rim is dipped in a taupe-ish glaze that despite how thick it looks in the pre-fire photo didn’t really provide the coverage I was expecting.
It’s the same iridescent glaze as the cup with the black rim. Super fascinating how the glazes interact.
