lel when I was in middle school we’d draw lines on our hands like this with magic markers. (not as pretend-tattoos or to be edgy or anything, just out of boredom.)
I hope whatever indigenous culture they ripped off takes exception to this.

Well, there was a rumour years ago that the Maori will remove moko off of non-Maori.
And yeah, cultural appropriation is a real issue. Which is why I haven’t and won’t use specific types of designs in the work I get.

Not a big fan of “tribal” as a term either. And Ötzi’s look different enough from modern styles.
