This update fixes several bugs and improves the overall user experience.
This update also adds the setting to show upvotes and downvotes separately.
The next update will be a feature update so I will pick a feature from the roadmap and implement it.
Changelog:
- Added setting to show upvotes and downvotes separately.
- Added another way to add bookmarks to make the feature easier to find.
- Fixed Animated GIFs in posts/comment bodies. GIFs in these places will auto-play on load.
- Fixed a bug where you are sometimes randomly scrolled to the top of the post list.
- Updated post/comment scores to change colors based on vote.
- Changed “add link” button in post/comment composer. If text is selected before tapping on “add link”, the “Add link” dialog will prefill with the selected text.
Side note: I am aware that the Github release is having issues. I’m working on a fix.
Update
Found more bugs. I’m going to do a minor patch update later today to fix all of the bugs I’ve found so far.
Only thing i miss now is a comment threads type that has the color of modern but the shape of classic
This is easy to add so I can add it for the next update
Yeah, me too I’d love that. I like Classic style way more than Modern comment tree but If theere was option to opt for a colorful Classic comment style, It’d be amazing.
This feature is available in the latest update now.
Dude, thanks for your work. I love your App. If I wasn’t living in a shit third world Country, and was a little rich, I’d definitely donate to you.
Thanks for the constant updates. Can we get the swipe between posts feature as well? It seems to be the only major feature missing.
Sorry I don’t think I’ve ever used such a feature. Could you please describe it?
It’s a feature which is available on the official reddit app. Basically when you tap and open a post, you view the post fully along with comments and when you swipe right on the post you go to the next post. Swipe left to go back to the previous post.
It’s on Connect for Lemmy app as well and probably only Lemny which tried to implement that feature.
Oh I see. I can add this but be warned that these gestures will pretty much conflict with all of the other gestures in the app. If you enable this, all of the other gestures will not work (eg. gesture actions, swipe to go back, etc).
Yeah I can sacrifice existing gestures for this new feature. Thanks!
Yes, it would be great to have this feature.
