Basically, it was saying that fascists hijack a process that bypasses intelligent thought by playing on people’s fears, and that the cycle has historically been broken by significantly painful events that dissilusion zealots and allow the return of critical analysis. So basically, we need to somehow shock these idiots out of their stupir enmasse. Not sure how will happen, but if history repeats one more time we’ll see a happier future eventually.
