Anyway you could summarize this for those of us who don’t know how to get around a nytimes paywall?
Oh, I’m sorry. I didn’t even realize there was one.
Real quick: The Folk Implosion are together again and put out an album today collecting the music they wrote for KIDS plus some other things. They’re also working on new music.
Cryptopsy - As Gomorrah Burns, since Dying Fetus is also included in this list 🤘
Ren (Erin Gill) released a new track this week as well. His album “Sick Boi” is about to drop in the number one spot in England’s charts.
Ooo! super cool!
I’m not gonna lie. The first thing I’m listening to today is Olivia Rodrigo. Yes she’s pop but if you listen to her stuff you can hear influences from 90s and 00s alternative and indie.
Go for it! Post it here if it’s good!
Eh it’s good but I’m not gonna make a separate thread about it. I didn’t find it to be as impressive as her debut album. Probably because her debut was an unexpected surprise for a pop record from a 17 year old. With this one I already knew what she was capable of and I feel like she didn’t push any “pop boundaries” that she didn’t already push with her debut.
I know it’s unlikely but I’m kinda hoping for a Scott Walker like career from her lol
