Raising Arizona by miles for me
Easily ‘The Rock’. Nick Cage AND the final (non canon) 007 story all in one? YES PLEASE!
Lord of War
Here’s the intro to Lord of War. I love the little smirk he pulls off at about 45s.
Lord of War is a work of art
Shame about the real world parts. Ruins it for me these days.
Bath of blood
Wow. I never watched because the premise didn’t look interesting, but that’s quite an intro
The movie is quite good to be honest.
I guess I’ll add it to the list then. Thanks
Fantastic movie.
Face/Off. Golden desert eagles, Nic Cage at his cagiest, John Travolta and Nic Cage swapping bodies, legitimately great action scenes, and Nic Cage grabbing a woman’s ass while wearing a priest costume. Just an incredible movie.
overactors trying to out-overact each other. Love it!
How in the actual fuck has no one said Face/Off?
That was Travolta playing both roles
Haha lore-wise very true.
Classic, but I’m more of a Con Air man myself
Tie a yellow ribbon yall
Next (2007) was quite good actually.
I also remember it fondly but I’m not sure it would hold up nowadays… Have you watched it recently?
Not that recently I’m afraid. But I remember that I was really curious how the story plays out and while it wasn’t groundbreaking it was a satisfying twist end.
Not your regular Hollywood happy end.
Yeah that’s true for sure.
Not one single mention for Gone in Sixty Seconds?
Lemmings… do I have bad taste?
If you lived near me we could have a few beers and watch it. Sad that they destroyed so many Mustangs though.
The Rock and Con Air are tied for me. Con Air’s cast is star studded and Nic Cage with a southern accent is fantastic.
“Put the Bunny back in the box.”
Nobody move or the bunny gets it!
You’re god damn right with that opinion
The Rock. I’ll be taking no further questions.
Carla was the prom queen
Finally!! This movie NEVER comes up but I absolutely love Peggy Sue Got Married (1986). Fucking classic and he’s great in it.
Okay he’s not the lead but he’s like the main co-star.
Love love love this movie
Kickass is the best surprise nic cage film.
Lord of war is the best serious cage.
Bangkok dangerous is the most cage being cage film.Best surprise for me was Linglegs. Took a while to figure out who that actor was.
The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent was pretty damn good.
Dunno about favourite but I recently watched the surfer and it kinda hit a weird spot I didn’t know I have. Was pretty good.
Con Air … why? No clue, I would have thought I’d go with Lord of War, but Con Air immediately popped into my head when I read the question, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
“Put. The bunny. Back.”
“The color from outer space”
His slow descent into madness is great. It’s like him turning the Cage knob very slowly from 0 to 11.
Also imo the best Lovecraft adaption.
Edit: “Color out of Space” is the correct title. Thanks to the commenter below.
https://m.imdb.com/title/tt5073642/
You might have misremembered the title there.
Absolutely, yes. Thank you for the correction!
No problem, just wanted to make sure people can find it because it’s a good one.
This movie is so fucking good because of him! I honestly want him to do more lovecraft stuff.
I don’t know how that film only has a 6.1 on IMDB. very surreal and I loved seeing him slowly turn up the Cageism lol
I watched this in theater. It was very late and there was only one other group of people. During the film one of them loudly said something like “what the fuck is this shit” and they walked out pretty early.
I guess it’s not for everyone.
Where about in the film? It starts off slow but I love me a good slow burn cosmic horror
I think the color had just shown up. It’s been a while, I don’t remember specifics that well. The movie was great though and the encounter was so funny we didn’t mind it.
