Wow, you mean there’s a way to respond to these protests that isn’t getting massively indignant and outraged at an inconvenient breach of decorum? I bet he didn’t know he could just have security escort them outside where it would be totally legal and morally justified to run them over.
massive eye-roll at the response from the festival director
We very much regret that yesterday’s concert was unexpectedly interrupted by two climate activists from Renovate Switzerland. In general, we support standing up for environmental issues. However, we have no sympathy at all for the way the two activists acted last night. They disturbed our audience as well as the artists
I cant blame the director for following up on what they were paid to look after as they can’t exactly encourage the behaviour. To be honest this is the best option all around - and hey, if you (the director) expect climate activists to stay on social media and be ignored you should probably stick with doing the same.
Nah, we can definitely blame them.
If they can’t handle some true words being said on their event because they care more about their customers (and by extension their money) than humanity, then that is on them.
Sorry, can’t agree.
I don’t want climate activists crashing my wedding, nor do I have to be ok with it.
Jeez, this is beautiful. A few minutes of interruption, a short speech, no arrests — a rare moment and for me thoroughly unexpected moment of sanity.
I thought the same thing. No one was hurt and maybe some in attendance were actually impacted. And then music… beautiful
Let them talk for once and then we will play the symphony, otherwise I’m leaving the scene now
This is a nice strong statement from the conductor, not only letting then speak but also implying that they have something important to say that is often dismissed.
