As Linus (and other YouTubers for that matter) have said, awful thumbnails and clickbaity titles work.
And when YouTube is a side gig you can refuse to do it on principle, but when you need to pay 100 folks (in case of LMG) - I don’t think it’s much of a choice.
Right. If they didn’t do this shit, YouTube would bury them in favor of channels that do. Doesn’t even matter if your subscriber count is already high. I’ve missed tons of videos from channels I’ve subscribed to because YouTube doesn’t even mention them to me unless I go out of my way to check.
