Although this is from yesterday, I thought there were some good points, that makes it worth seeing.

I suspect Elon Musk is acting as an agent for China, and China supports Russia.

But no matter the reason, Elon Musk is not acting in the interests of USA or the West or democracy.

The war in Ukraine is a war about freedom, democracy and sovereignty against authoritarianism, imperialism and genocide.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but if we need to nationalize SpaceX to defend democracy, then that is a price I am willing to pay.

      Just do it, Joe.

Agreed, I just want to add that he still wants to benefit from operating tech and aerospace companies in the US the West or Democracy.

I’m sure Jack Ma would have some interesting thoughts on this. Well he would if he was still in charge of the companies he founded and was able to speak freely that is…

Yes Jack Ma got a bit to loud. But although I don’t support authoritarian systems like the Chinese, I kind of respect the Chinese politicians for shutting up Jack Ma. There is no reason the filthy rich should decide our policies. They will almost always have a self centered and extremely skewed view on things.

We’ve had some of it here in Denmark too, and it’s sickening when the rich make campaigns because they can afford it, to support their own interests.

He’s basically taking the stance of his motherland South Africa. He’s trying to be absolutely neutral because he loves the Renminbi too much

I’d guess that if he was an agent, he isn’t acting voluntarily. Instead he’s probably influenced by chinese and saudi money.

Another simpler, but just as plausible explanation could be that he’s basically a human with a giant ego that bounces from one incident to another. None of this seems very planned. Instead he seems to be acting on a whim.

bounces from one incident to another.

That doesn’t mach how he consistently has parroted Russian propaganda for 1½ year.

I guess that could be explained with the giant ego. Due to being so smart, he understands the situation better than the mainstream media. The easiest opposing view to latch onto would then be Russian propaganda.

EDIT: I have several friends who are also smart, and as such must question all msm news. As a result their worldview is left with a void that is usually filled with more fringe opinions.

I would still argue that Hanlon’s razor applies: “Never attribute to malice that which can adequately be explained by stupidity.”

Except we now know Musk is a full blown narcissist. The pedophile incident is just one example, but there are also other examples, like how he treats minorities, and frequently behaves like a bully on twitter. Together with his support for Trump who also support Russia, the picture is crystal clear. That when it regards Elon Musk we could apply what we could call a reverse Hanlon’s razor, never apply to ignorance that which can be explained by narcissist malice.

PS: I’m guessing you didn’t watch the video. Because the consistency is pretty clear.

I have now, but that doesn’t really change my mind. You have a point and it becomes a matter of semantics. I don’t think it’s actual malice in that he consciously wants to cause harm (on balance), but that he is so thoroughly misguided because of his own sense of infallibility, that he truly thinks he is a force for good in the world. Is that stupidity? It becomes a matter of definition. The video is too short and selective to really make any call based on it. “There are no ‘ordinary’ Russians on Twitter”? How can he tell? Maybe he has explained that in previous videos.
