They are def jobbing alot to put over the next generation. Matt’s body is cooked and Jeff doesn’t really deserve anymore chances
It’s honestly a good place for em. It’s the ‘Jeff Jarrett’ spot.
The ‘threat’ that they could take the titles is still there in kayfabe. They can still put on a performance, even if they aren’t in the best of shape, but putting over the next guys is what they should be used for. They can still get wins against lesser card guys, the occasional bigger win, take the L’s on important stuff to put over the ones who need it. That way Matt can rest himself a bit, and they don’t have to worry about Jeff fucking up a title reign/title picture.
I can definitely see this OC/HOOK thing working.

Bryan, Ricky, and Jay are such an upgrade from CM Punk. I mean I liked it the first month when he came back but his entire schtick got so old so fast.
I enjoyed his comeback from The First Dance right up until he went out with injury after the Hangman feud. Everything he did since he came back from that injury last year has only managed to tarnish not only his AEW run, but his entire legacy in wrestling.

He felt like a Super Cena esque face to me. He obviously wasn’t as good as his talk let on but he kept on consistently winning. He also kind og just buried people without comeuppance
