An authoritarian “communist.”
The term originated in England, after the USSR sent in tanks to crush the Hungarian Revolution in 1956. Those who supported the USSR - who believed that people should be forced to submit to a “communist” system under threat of death at the hands of an authoritarian government - were, and still are, called “tankies.”
