I use the Google Messages app and I’m aiming for something like this:
- I add a custom field called Timezone to my contacts and put in GMT+9 or whatever (I have a friend who’s moving to Japan)
- This theoretical app scans for the time zone field for each member of a chat
- The app draws over Messages, displaying the time for every time zone it finds in the members of the chat
Does something like this exist? I haven’t had luck finding anything.
I haven’t seen it. I just have a clock widget on my home screen telling me their time. I use ‘simple world clock widget’ pending on your launcher you can make it tiny.
What i would like to see is a scheduler in a messenger so I can send them a message at more ideal times.
Do you mean scheduling messages to be send later? Signal and telegram have it.
Hold the send button and select a time. Easy to use but hard to find.
As somebody who communicates globally. I do this all the time I signal. I don’t want to wake anybody up.
Oh sick. Now I just gotta get my peeps on signal.
That’s an unappealing option but I’ll consider it, thanks
